In the pre-internet universe magazine covers spoke volumes. If you made it on a magazine cover - you had made a splash in the industry. Female faces dominated the cover space in the competitive pop culture marketplace. Publications such as "Seventeen", "Dig" "Teen Vogue", "Teen People", "Life Magazine", "Time", "Photoplay" and "Rolling Stone" are just some of the magazines that brought the teen dream to the coverpage.

To bring back some nostalgic glee, Hollywood Teen Movies presents "Cover Girl", an exclusive video featuring a selection of the hottest teen starlets to ever grace the covers of teen magazines around the world. This visual treat is a salute to the teenage superstar & is set to the soundtrack of a pop song by the same name - "Cover Girl".

Who remembers a time when New Kids On The Block (NKOTB) where the hottest pop band in America? Well, it was the late 1980s... and an album surfaced titled, "Hangin' Tough". From this album came a number 2 hit single titled "Cover GirI". I am sure many people remember bopping around to "Cover Girl" when it hit the airwaves. "Cover Girl" was a song about teen dreams & magazine covers - just take a peak at some of the lyrics.....

"Cover Girl" Song on CD & DVD

It was Septemebr 1988 when teen pop sensations New Kids On The Block (NKOTB) released their 2nd album titled "Hangin' Tough". The buzz was initially only modest but amazingly by the summer of 1989 "Five Top 10 Hits" had emerged from this single album one of which was the funky toe-tapper "Cover Girl". This catchy little number went on to reach number 2 on the U.S. Billboard's Hot 100. Cover Girl's lead vocals were sung by Donnie Whalberg (movie star Mark's older brother). "Cover Girl" also peaked at number 4 in the UK, number 6 in Ireland, number 17 in New Zealand and number 22 in Australia. NKOTB were a phenomenon & "Cover Girl" was a sensation.
