"Class" was "The Graduate" of the 1980's and the debut film for three of its teen stars, Andrew McCarthy, John Cusack & Virginia Madsen. In the film Andrew McCarthy plays Jonathon, a country boy who moves to a new prep-school. He shares a room with rich-kid & prankster, Skip, played by Rob Lowe. After a night on the town, Andrew McCarthy meets & falls in love with older woman, Ellen (Jacqueline Bisset) who just happens to be Lowe's mother. This is when the fun starts, in this likeable 80's romantic teen comedy. Look out for a young John Cusack in his small role as Roscoe (one of the school students) & also Cliff Robertson of "Gidget" fame as Bisset's husband. The tagline for the movie sums it all up: "The good news is, Jonathan's having his first affair. The bad news is, she's his roommate's mother!".
