* Melissa is the oldest of 8 children. She has six sisters and one brother, Trisha, Elizabeth, Emily, Alexandra, Samantha, Mackenzie, and Brian.
* Melissa started acting in commercials at the age of four. Her first commercial was for a bathtub toy called "Splashy".
* Melissa's early acting interests were inspired by Shirley Temple and Audrey Hepburn.
