FILM REVIEW :
"Riding In Cars With Boys" is based on the real-life story of Beverly D'Onofrio, who at 15 years of age falls pregnant & marries a man she doesn't particularly love. Drew Barrymore stars in the lead role & Steve Zahn (Out of Sight) co-stars as her drug addicted husband. From the very beginning their marriage is doomed & the film looks closely at Drew's efforts to recover from her marriage break-up, the problems of raising a child & her dream of one day becoming a successful writer.

In an unusual casting decision, Bootmen's Adam Garcia appears in the film as Drew Barrymore's grown up son. Despite being a couple of years older than Drew in real-life, Adam Garcia takes on the task & gives it his best. "Riding In Cars With Boys" is an emotional drama & when appropriate the story is told in a comedic way. It should have strong appeal with Drew Barrymore & Adam Garcia fans.
