Set in the early 1960's, "The Wanderers" focuses on a gang of teenage boys living in the Bronx. The central characters are faced with various challenges, including conflict with rival gangs, family issues, friendships, loyalty & changing times. Director Philip Kaufman has been successful in giving the film a realistic 60's feel. "The Wanderers" features a talented young cast & a great soundtrack including "Walk Like a Man", "Big Girl's Don't Cry" by The Four Seasons, "Runaround Sue" & the great title track "The Wanderer" by Dion And The Belmonts. This excellent teen flick, sometimes described as "American Graffiti Goes To The Bronx" has many fans around the world & has already achieved cult status.
