Josh Hartnett, fresh from his success in the War Dramas "Pearl Harbour" & "Black Hawk Down", headlines "40 Days and 4O Nights", a raunchy sex comedy aimed at teen audiences. The plot revolves around Josh attempting to stay celibate, for, as the title suggests, "40 days and 40 nights" but when he falls for the girl of his dreams, played by Shannyn Sossamon (Heath Ledger's love interest in "A Knight's Tale") he finds his vow of abstinence difficult to deal with. "40 Days and 40 Nights" is jam-packed with sex-related jokes and the film should appeal to the same crowd that has enjoyed the "American Pie" films. Solid support from Griffin Dunne (After Hours) as Josh's boss & Paulo Costanzo (Road Trip) as his roommate add to the fun. Due to Hartnett's current popularity "40 Days and 40 Nights" has proven to be a success at the box office. Made on a budget of $17 million the film has gone on to gross over $37 million in the US alone. Guys should find "40 Days and 40 Nights" amusing and girls will love watching teen idol Josh Hartnett squirm.
