* In his early years Josh's parents divorced and for a good part of his life he was raised by his father Daniel & stepmother Molly.
* During his high school years Josh played football and did some work in a video store. It is interesting to note that Josh went to the same high school as "She's All That" star Rachael Leigh Cook.
* In 1996 Josh Hartnett graduated from South High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
* Josh began his acting career by appearing in small plays and commercials. He once played Huckleberry Finn in a production of Tom Sawyer.
* In 1997 Josh played Michael Fitzgerald in the TV series "Cracker".
* Josh Hartnett's big break came in 1998 when he won a starring role opposite Jamie Lee Curtis in the big screen horror flick "Halloween H20: 20 Years Later".
* In 1999 Josh was chosen as one of Teen People Magazine's "21 Hottest Stars Under 21".
* In the new millennium Josh Hartnett has emerged as a major Hollywood player with starring roles in big budget blockbusters such as "Pearl Harbor" (2001), "Black Hawk Down" (2001), and the teen comedy "40 Days and 40 Nights" (2002).
