From "Happy Days" to "A Beautiful Mind" director  Ron Howard has come along way. "A Beautiful Mind" is his masterpiece, an extraordinary film about an extraordinary man. This biographical film looks at the life of Professor John Forbes Nash, a mathematical genius who had the ability to solve the most difficult of problems.  Diagnosed as a paranoid-schizophrenic, Nash takes on the ultimate challenge, to triumph over his own personal illness for which there is no reported cure. The story is one of courage; self-discovery and hope as Nash, despite his problems, goes on to win the coveted Noble Prize for his work on game theory. Russell Crowe, who was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar, puts in an outstanding performance as John Nash. "A Beautiful Mind" is a beautiful film. It went on to win 4 Academy Awards at the 2002 Oscars including: Best Picture, Best Director (Ron Howard), Best Supporting Actress (Jennifer Connelly) and Best Screenplay (Akiva Goldsman).
