"The Three Stooges Meet Hercules" is a hilarious spoof of the Italian peplum (sword & sandal) films. The Stooges play 3 drug store assistants who accidently trigger off a time machine that takes them from modern New York to ancient Greece. Coming along for the ride is a young inventor & his girlfriend. Their adventure sees them escaping from a galley ship & doing battle with a giant Cyclops. Along the way they meet the "Mighty Hercules" & in the exciting finale they become involved in a fast-paced chariot race, complete with custard pie fight.

The Three Stooges are in fine form in this film, with their unique brand of slapstick humor proving a real test for the "Mighty Hercules", played with bravado by the great Samson Burke. Stooges fans are in for a real treat with this one, as the time travel theme places them in a fish out of water scenario that works brilliantly. "The Three Stooges Meet Hercules" is a delightful film that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is considered by many to be the best of their full length feature movies.
