AMERICAN WEDDING at HOLLYWOOD TEEN MOVIES

Just to make things clear, American Wedding is the third movie in the American Pie series. Pies are out; weddings are in.

The kids are back and are now young adults - well, some of them, anyway. Jim (Jason Biggs), the guy who always seems to be at the centre of calamity, is getting married to Michelle (Alyson Hannigan). You remember Michelle; she’s the one who is always telling us about “this one time”. They have to get married in two weeks, so that Jim’s ailing granny can see him get hitched.

Unstoppable Stifler (Seann William Scott) wants to arrange the bachelor party. Who else? Starry-eyed Stifler sees this occasion as the ultimate opportunity for stripper action. And at the wedding there are always the bridesmaids - and more especially the bride of honour, Cadence (January Jones) who is Michelle’s sister.

And then, of course, there’s Jim’s dad (Eugene Levy) - ever ready with wise words and always walking in at the wrong moment. Will the big day go off without complications? You’ve got to be joking.
